This cake, I tell you, is a delight, it is a little meticulous, you have to be patient but the result is just right.

- 100g old
- vanilla sugar
- lemon peel and orange
- 100g soft butter
- 50g flour
- 50g food starch
- a little salt and breadcrumbs for the shape
- 150g household chocolate
- 50g butter
Preparation time: less than 60 minutes
RECIPE PREPARATION Tree trunk:
Rub the yolks with sugar until they double in volume, add the vanilla sugar, citrus zest, butter and mix everything until it becomes a thick cream; Add the flour mixed with starch, then the beaten egg whites with a pinch of salt and mix everything lightly with a spoon. Grease a small cake tin with butter, line it with breadcrumbs, put 3-4 tablespoons of dough on the bottom of the pan, spread it evenly and bake for 3-4 minutes on low heat until it gets a golden hue; Take out the form, put another 3-4 tablespoons of dough on top, bake in the same way and do the same until the dough is finished;
Allow to cool, remove the cake from the pan and pour over the icing made from melting chocolate on a bain-marie and mixed with butter; Too bad it's small how tasty it is!
